What's the name of a flower, maybe called "bobeca" it's a tiny white flower that looks like strawberry blossom

This flower type is common in hanging baskets, it's just this dainty white flower with a yellow center and it trails beautifully in baskets. I would like to know the name of that type of flower.

Thanks.

Red flowers are dominant over white flowers in Indian Paintbrush. Predict the phenotypic ratio for a cross?

between two heterozygous parents.

all red

1 red and 1 white

3 red and 1 white

or all white

Red flowers are dominant over white flowers in Indian Paintbrush. Predict the phenotypic ratio for a cross?
3 red and 1 white

Reasoning

Parent "A" can give a R or a W

Parent "B" can give a R or a W

new plant can receive ...RR,WR,RW,WW

All of these give a red plant except WW.

Mendel made an analogous discovery in his pea plants, when he did his earliest experiments
Reply:3 red and 1 white

What offspring are produced from a cross of a heterozygous plant and a homozygous white flowered plant?

In snapdragons, the alleles for flower color exibit an incomplete dominance between the tw alleles (red,Cr,and white ,Cw).The floral color of a heterozygous plant is pink as these flowers have less red pigment than homozygous red plants.

What offspring are produced from a cross of a heterozygous plant and a homozygous white flowered plant?
One half will be pink, while one half will be white.

Using the Punnett square:

CrCw x CwCw =

CrCw (pink)

CrCw (pink)

CwCw (white)

CwCw (white)

I can't draw it here, so you'll have to draw it for yourself.
Reply:let's say red is R and white is W.

R W

W RW WW

W RW WW

so 50% pink and 50% white
Reply:That is a very insegrievous question. You already seem to be congeviating on it. I, for one am a mere mortal. My knowledge doesn't polinate that far. Welcome to Yahoo. I am delipified by your already knowledge.

What do you think about a black and white wedding with bright colored flowers???

Im not going for the goth look, i just loved the contrast of the two colors and i personally feel that baby blue and light greens are a little too eastery for a wedding and since my wedding is in April these are the more popular colors. Im not too crazy about pastel bridemaid dresses. I will have an all white wedding dress and my bridesmaids will have black dresses with a white sash. Any Opinions??? Thanks!

What do you think about a black and white wedding with bright colored flowers???
Hi and congratulations!

To be honest....any color goes at anytime as far as I'm concerned! Black dresses will look very pretty against some bright colored flowers. You can do all one color....say PINK roses....PINK tulips....PINK gerbera daisies.....or a mixture of any of these flowers with other colors! I happen to think pink and black look very stunning together.

It would also look very nice with the small sunflowers -- bright yellow!!

I think your look is elegant! Good luck!
Reply:What about black, white and pale blue? Maybe your bridesmaids could wear a light blue sash with their dress. You can also vary the color combinations to not make it look like an Easter basket. Champagne and light blue would be a nice color combination.
Reply:I think it would be gorgeous!!! Just make sure you have BRIGHT, eyecatching flowers!!!

Reply:I think that sounds like a nice idea. I think it would look good, and it wouldn't look gothic as long as everyone was holding bright flowers. I especially like the white sash idea. Maybe you could also make sure the bridesmaids will have some other splash of color, like earrings or shoes or jewelery. And your fiance should wear a brightly colored tie that matches the flowers.
Reply:I did this same thing (minus the white sash) for our recent October wedding. The wedding was outdoors and it was in the afternoon. Everyone looked great! Not gothic or funeral-like at all. We had wildflower bouquets that were all sorts of colors and they just looked wonderful with the black dresses--really vibrant. I think your plan sounds great! I'm not crazy about pastels either. Good luck.
Reply:Your colors sound fine...IF and ONLY IF it is an EVENING wedding in April...a daytime wedding in those colors in spring...hmmm...well you COULD...but make sure the bridesmaids don't look like its a funeral...add some white accent to the black dresses...sashes?
Reply:I love it, I bet it will look great!
Reply:I think it's a good idea, one of my friends did that and she asked that all the people attending wear black and white as well, it was fun, and cute :-) it's your wedding so just do it however you want :-)
Reply:I went to a wedding very similar to what you want last year.

The BM's wore black dresses, all different styles to fit each individual body shape, and they carried hot pink, orange and yellow flowers. The colors really looked good together. And I liked that idea. It saved money for each BM too because they could find a simple elegant black dress that fit then and there (no alterations needed) at their favorite store in the mall for $50 rather than spending a fortune on a BM dress that costs $300 with alterations and everything.
Reply:I think it'd be beautiful. You can do whatever color combination you want! You dont even have to stick to two colors... you can just have BURSTS of colorful bunches scattered about. (I'm thinkin about the floral arrangements that they have in the lobbys of large hotels... with the funky Paradise flower thing) Thats lovely!!
Reply:Keep the bright flowers the same type and it will look great. Majority roses, sunflowers, etc in a rainbow of colors will look smashing.
Reply:That sounds really pretty. I love the contrast of black and white and I think it can look so classy. If your wanting a bright color to throw in the mix, I would definately go with pink-light or dark. This could work with all of your smaller details. Maybe a hint of pink in the bouquets or even a pink ribbon around the stems. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Reply:i think the brightly colored flowers will make everything look absolutely gorgeous. you can pick any colors you want!

i chose to have a navy blue bridesmaid dress for the same reason. i hate pastel colored dresses. and i am getting married in july.
Reply:I talked to my florist ta few days ago and he was talking about the most beautiful wedding he had ever done was all black and white and then the bridesmaids had deep pink roses I think? Anyway I agree with Nancy as long as it is in the evening it sounds beautiful.

Good Luck!
Reply:I had a wedding in April that I went to and it was black and white. Of Course it was night time and the flowers were one Long stemmed red rose. It was beautiful. Good Luck
Reply:Your wedding colors do sound very formal and would be wonderful for an evening wedding. I've seen a wedding like this with red roses as the flowers. They made the whole event seem very gothic. I've also seen this done with bright pink lillies. This looked really beautiful. I think that orange would also be lovely. I had an April wedding with pastel colors, but I do understand that this isn't to everyone's taste.
Reply:Love It!!!!!

I get what your saying about the pastels and such. However, I think bouquets w/ pink, peach, champagne and ivory colored flowers would look Fab w/ your black dresses.

The flowers will definitely POP against the black. Also, your dress will appear more crisp white, next to the black contrast.
Reply:well that is gothic
Reply:You can choose any color flowers you want. They will all go great against Black and White! how about some vibrant hot pinks, and orange?

Here are a few ideas.

Hope these help.

Best of Luck and Congrats.
Reply:My wedding is next month, and my colors are ivory, pink, and black. The flowers and centerpieces are going to have different shades of pink, and my bridesmaids are wearing formal black dresses. It's going to look so pretty! You could even do lilac as the accent color as well.
Reply:I vote for red! Because, like someone else said, your colors are formal and I think that will keep it formal.
Reply:DO ANYTHING YOU WANT TO. It is your wedding and as long as your hubby to be is down with it....do it.

I never have understood why the men are all in black while the women are in colors anyway......(no jokes about cuz the men know what a death sentence they are entering into.........)

DO IT DO IT DO IT. And don't worry about what anyone says---you can't do that for an afternoon wedding, you can't do that for a spring wedding bla, bla, bla----------just do it. It's YOUR wedding.
Reply:Absolutely Beautiful... Go for it!! Use pastel pinks and purples.
Reply:if your wedding is in April them duh make it Easter colors and your bridesmaids needed different colors not black

What is that green/ white that you shove fake flowers into called?

its this foamy thing but whats it called?

What is that green/ white that you shove fake flowers into called?
The white or green foam material is floral styrofoam. They come in shapes - like hearts, cones, stars, cross, etc., and they come in boards usually 12 inches wide, 36"long and in 1", 2" or 4" thickness.

These are the type that you can't soak in water because these were designed for silk or dried flowers and foliages. These also come in bricks 3" X 4" X8". You can find these in any craft stores or your local florist. The more famous brand names for the brick type foam are Oasis and Capri.

The other type of foam is the floral foam for fresh flowers. These are the type that you should soak in water. If you gently drop the foam on water and let it absorb water by itself, in 3-10 minutes, the foam should be fully saturated with water and can be used for your flower arrangement. The brand names are also Oasis, Capri and Aquafoam.
Reply:Oasis - it holds water as well as keeps the plants in place.
Reply:the green and white blocks are foam that is man made for decorations
Reply:it called Oasis, you have to soak itin water until it becomes totally saturated usually overnight before using it in fresh arrangements
Reply:It varies. It is called Styrofoam. Sometimes it's called Floral Foam, I think.

My mom does crafts .
Reply:There are two types of foam. One is called oasis, and the other is a flower craft foam. One is used for fresh flowers, and has to be soaked in water first. Be sure to tell the salesperson at the craft store which kind you want.
