What are those flowers that have large white-pink blooms, ants love them, and they have a strong sweet smell ?

They are usually light pink or white. They grown in a low bush. The bloom is usually in a puff ball shape. They have pettels and not spiky. They grown in the spring time. I dont know if they have a corrilation but ants are always on the pettels.

What are those flowers that have large white-pink blooms, ants love them, and they have a strong sweet smell ?
Ants are attracted to peonies because of the sweet sap the flower buds secrete. It is a myth that ants are necessary to permit peonies to bloom.

Peonies are long-lived, but slow-growing at first. Garden peonies will usually begin blooming within three years after planting. Tree peonies will begin blooming at about the same time, but will increase slowly in size and bloom quantity. They can live for up to a hundred years.
Reply:It is a Peony. Their big drawback is they attract ants. Be careful if you cut blooms for your house. Leave them out overnight in a vase %26amp; let the ants evacuate.
Reply:It sounds like a type of dahlia but I'm not sure, They come in so many varieties.
Reply:peonys and they come in a varity of colors

once they are in full bloom:

mix water with red pepper let set over night

then shake well put in a spray bottle and spray ground and flowers ants will go away

however if you want them to reblossom they need the ants it's part of the poccess.
Reply:That would be the Peony! I use to be a bad little girl and would pluck off the blossoms because I thought the ants were attacking them! Haha!

The ants actually are essential to the blossoming of the peonies.
Reply:its a peony...ants are needed for this plant also..they do no harm..just good...i have about 20 in my yard and my mom has been having peonies coming up from seed every year for last 4 or 5 yrs...they are coming up where she had nothing but grass
Reply:Peonies I know because I have them and ants love them.
Reply:butter flowers
Reply:I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Peonies. They can be anywhere from Fuschia to white. They are separate flowers, and not really a bush, but look like it because they are so dense.

In so. calif. will i be able to obtain yellow orange and white flowers for a wedding arangement?

Florists in Southern California sell every color of flowers year round. If you are planning to gather them yourself from a friend's garden, there are plants that bloom in Southern California at this time of the year, but not that many, and if it happens to be a rainy day, the flowers may be rather bedraggled.

Cut flower business is a global enterprise. You can get anything but you should place an order in advance when you want specific flowers. Sounds like you are not referring to garden flowers.

Queen Anne's Lace

Alstroemeria

Spider Lily

Canterbury Bells

Stephanotis

Tulips

Daisy Mums

Try checking out www.flowerpossibilities.com/encyclopedia... so you can see what the flowers look like.

You can also have flowers painted, which look beautiful when they are done.
Reply:Gerbera daisies are beautiful. Come in all colors, too.
Reply:Cala Lily's, carnations, tulips, daisies
Reply:You have roses, gerber daisy ( big ones with yellow middle) patunia, tuplips, astromeria, daisys, mums, some lilys. Go to a local florist and talk to them about flowers and the colors they come in. Many flowers come in many colors, if there is a certain flower you like but does not come in that color they can paint them for you ( yes spray paint a flower, it really does look real.)

Most have portfolios of flowers they've made for weddings. They'll be more than happy to give you ideas. You can also go online and look at different arrangements and see if there is any particular flower you like. That is what I did and ended up finding the perfect bouquet.

A cross between red and white flowers will yield all pink flowers because of heterozygosity. The pink flowers only have one copy of the "red" gene so are producing less of the pigment. Thus the percentage of the cross that is heterozygous is 100% (I'm guessing that's what the rest of your question was).

If red flowers were crossed with white flowers and all the resulting flowers were pink, what percentage of a c
both red and white are dominant so both appear and it just seems pink.

Personally, I think they stink.

What flowers should I use for a black, white, and fushia wedding?

I'm having a little trouble thinking of what flowers to use to use for my wedding. The colors are black, white, and fushia. I am wearing a white dress and my bridesmaids are wearing black dresses.

I love gerber daisies and stargazer lilies, but I don't think they look right together. I'm really leaning toward the stargazers but I have no idea where to go with it.

Any ideas???

What flowers should I use for a black, white, and fushia wedding?
Hey! im a florist. My wedding colors are going to be fushia, black, and orange. ! :) For you i would do....fushia flowers. You can use, ranunculus (really pretty), peonies, roses, calla lillies ect. I think that stargazers with be too big for the personal flowers. For your decor...i imagine a satin black linen with white napkins and fushia flowers! so pretty. good lkuck
Reply:It really depends on your budget. The stargazer lilies tend to be more expensive then the gerbera daisies...but, it all depends on the florist as well.

Another option that you might like are the hot pink orlando roses. Those are beautiful and would look lovely with the black bridesmaid dresses; like these:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3281/2345...

Or maybe a combination of the gerbera's and roses:

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2359/2339...

Or just use the fuschia gerbera's if you are trying to save some money. I think that they are beautiful...

Reply:ooo my colors are black and white....therefore..i've got white calla lillies and aa hint of pink orchids....i think orchids are very nice..they go with anything..but if you like those two flowers..then you should do that...it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks..its your day....pick the flowers you love...there is always a way a put flowers together...any flowres.....happy wedding!!!
Reply:Lilies are CLASSIC!!! If you like the gerbera daisies, you can incorporate them into the centerpieces or other decorations..... I'm having lilies and carnations in my bouquets and then using gerberas on the tables!
Reply:The lilies sound nice. but something white for them to carry will really "pop" out and make their dresses look striking, and well as compliment the only other white dress in the ceremony ....YOU. =)

Is it inappropriate to wear a white dress (with pink flowers) to a beach wedding?

Is it inappropriate to wear a white dress (with pink flowers) to a beach wedding?
Sounds pretty for a beach wedding.

Don't let your MIL dictate things now or it will only get worse... aaagh!
Reply:eh, no big deal, its your wedding %26amp; your sister :)

have fun!
Reply:You are the bride. If you don't mind, then nobody else should. If they do, that's too bad for them. I think it's great that you don't mind. Not a lot of brides would be like that. Good for you! Congratulations!
Reply:It all depends on what the chick wearing it looks like. If you're a fat mess of a girl then "No" its not alright. In fact it would probably be better if you just stayed home...nobody wants their wedding pictures ruined.

If you're hot then it wouldn't matter if you wore a vomit-stained bath robe to the wedding.
Reply:Well traditionally it is the bride only who wears white to a wedding. But if you, the bride, have no problem with it then it is your call. I say let her wear it. if you don't mind.
Reply:tell her to wear a pink cover up and black flipflops. its ur wedding and sister. u can do wat eva u want
Reply:Right..it's a beach wedding...it's not a formal wedding in a church...that rule is so out the window...
Reply:It is usually a fashion faux pas for anyone to wear white to a wedding. However, the dress has pink flowers, so it should be fine. And, since your wedding is a beach wedding, white is a very popular color for sun dresses, so I would guess more could be wearing white. You should be the only one in a long white gown, so everyone will be focused in on you.

MIL will just have to deal with it.
Reply:that sounds darling. an innocent little girl in white shouldn't offend anyone. and if it does, they have problems.

The tradition of wearing white came about by high society, white is a color that dirties easily and only the rich can afford it.
Reply:Traditionally speaking only the bride should be in white. But you say this dress has pink flowers on it, so I guess really she isn't in all white, she would be wearing white and pink. I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

kids play with them and blow them and make wishes, they are really weeds.

What wild flowers in nc are white and u can blow them and make wishes?
Yes, it's dandelions kids blow to make wishes - but it's not the flower itself - it's the seed pod that forms after the flower fades.

It becomes this white "puff ball" thing - you blow, and the little white poofs all blow off, each carrying a single tiny seed. Blow them all off in one breath, and you get your wish - so the saying goes.
Reply:Dandelions. The "puff ball" is the seed pods.

I have two white lilac bushes. one year old and i am not getting any flowers?

i have two white lilac trees, about 20 ft away from each other, is this the reason they are not flowering? they have grown to double their size in one year but this year no flowers.

I have two white lilac bushes. one year old and i am not getting any flowers?
You can try using the process of elimination. There are five main reasons that lilacs fail to bloom: insufficient sunlight, too much nitrogen fertilizer, improper planting (planted too deeply), improper pruning (pruning at the wrong time) or winterkill of the flower buds. If you are fertilizing your bushes (or near your bushes), stop. Lilacs set their flower buds for next year on this year's growth. If you pruned them last season in late summer-say late July or August-you may have removed the flower buds for this growing season. Also, lilacs will typically not bloom the season after a harsh pruning, so you may need to wait until next year before you see flowers. If you suspect winter damage to your flower buds, you can only hope for milder winters or plant a hardier variety. Pulling some soil back from the roots will help if you think it may be planted too deeply. Lilacs need full sun to flower. You might take a sucker from your lilac bush and try growing it in a new location.
Reply:Love lilac's; my first outside plant. It sounds like you are doing everything right, if they have doubled in size in just one year they are probably getting enough sun; they sound healthy. You just need to give them time to bloom.

Here is more information on your question.

The most popular lilac question: Why doesn’t my lilac flower?

Usually a lack of sunlight can be an initial problem. A minimum of six hours of sun is needed per day.

Too much nitrogen (the first number in a fertilizer) can be a problem. Often lilacs are planted in the lawn, and fertilizers used to green up lawns are too high in nitrogen. This causes beautiful green foliage but little bloom. Avoid high nitrogen fertilizer around the plant and use suggested fertilizer.

No bloom after first year. Lilacs are sometimes purchased as bare root or ball and bur lapped plants. These will flower the same year but not reflower for 3-5 years. The flowers were made from the previous year and it is normal that the plant will have to make new roots and get settled in for a few years before it reflowers. The best way to purchase lilacs are containerized plants. These are lilacs that have passed at least one year in the container it is in. They will have a complete root system and will reflower at an earlier age.

Improper pruning time often is another problem. Some lilac lovers prune their plants at the wrong time. They should be pruned only when flowers are faded. Any other pruning will result in the cutting of flower buds.
Reply:20' apart is not a problem at all. Are they in the sun? They don't bloom well in the shade. One year old is still a bit young to bloom. Give them another year or two before you worry about it.
Reply:Lilac's bloom on old wood - you have a couple of years to go. Whatever you do don't do a heavy pruning in the fall.
Reply:A lilac generally need to be about seven years olf to flower. if you prun the flower heads off you will not have flowers the next year.
Reply:Lilac bushes need at least 6 hours of sunshine each day. May you need to move them to more sun.

This is an example of incomplete dominance. So the answer is C)Red is an incompletely dominant trait

I am getting married in September in CA. I am looking for reds n white flowers that are in season.?

By in season, do you mean locally grown? With todays global marketplace you can get anything that you can afford. Go check with a flower wholesaler in your area to see his chart of what is availible during that time frame. They should be able to give you any approximate price. I'm here in Pa. and assist with weddings and can get just about any kind of flower any time of the year as long as the customer is willing to pay the price.

Hope that helps.

Why does my rose plant have a white film substance on it's leaves and flowers?
Spt is correct, Powdery Mildew, brilliant as usual S! Spectracide 3 in 1 available at Lowz, HomeyD, Wallyworld

Do Not rinse it off. Powdery mildew is caused by too much humidity and not enough air flow.
Reply:wash the plants, yes even ones around the one in question, with warmer dish soap water then hose off to rinse. Use a smooshie type sponge. big yellow one. That will take care of any white mold, aphids or spider webs.
Reply:It has a fungus on it, and they are suceptible to mold and fungus. You can get an anti-fungal spray at your local home and garden store to treat it. It's been a while since I have roses and I forget the name of the product but someone there should be able to advise you on the best product
Reply:It's called powdery mildew. I don't know what zone you are in or even where you are, but if you are heading into a cold winter then don't worry about it now. However, if you are in a warm climate then you can get a fungicide for roses. It has also been shown that a dilution of 1part milk to 9 parts water sprayed on the plant weekly will kill powdery mildew.

Kids growing potatoes - Pentland Javelin, a squirrel has broken the tops down, had white flowers now gone....?

Does this mean they are ready ? The stems are really tall about 4ft and I have had to secure to bamboo. They can't wait to eat what they have grown - when can they eat their crop? Also as they are growing in a large barrel like pot would we have to use new compost/soil if we plant 2nd crop ? When do they do this? And when will second crop be ready? They are growing tomatoes, courgettes, cauliflower, and sprouts too.

Kids growing potatoes - Pentland Javelin, a squirrel has broken the tops down, had white flowers now gone....?
Although it's the right time,l am leaving my to grow a bit more until mid july. Not enough light if potato is 4ft tall, means you will not have many potatoes.

You can use the same compost if you add some chicken pellets or some growmore etc to restore nutrients. The 2nd crop will have more potaoes but need 4 weeks longer to grow so 16 weeks.Do a 3rd crop end of sept, but make sure you move the barrel to the sunniest spot and they can dig up on Xmas day for lunch (it does work)

Plant garlic on the shortest day and harvest on the longest day. There is time for sweetcorn plants to put in your garden.Put them in compost and the rascals can pick the corn in sept, boil and a bit of butter Mmm must be hot spot
Reply:You can dig potatos almost any time, as soon as you have tubers. Dig down and see what is growing in there.

If you plant a second crop, just top off the barrel with more dirt.
Reply:I think you should be. Clowns are here and loppy. What are malts? Have you seen potatoes? Foul is now. Just is new. What are you? Is it new?
Reply:Yes you can dig them out now but they will be small, yes plant some more keep adding more soil as they grow.

Flying white bugs on all my flowers?

what are they? they are on all our plants - in the sun, shade, flowers, or plants. they look like little white specs. anything I can do to get rid of them?

Flying white bugs on all my flowers?
What you are seeing is probably Whiteflies. Whiteflies are tiny sapsuckers found in vegetable, ornamentals, and citrus trees. When these pests are disturbed on their hosts, clouds of winged adult whiteflies fly into the air. They excrete honeydew like aphids. Leaves of infested plants may turn yellow, get sticky and have black sooty mold.

Insecticidal soap applied to the undersides of leaves can help control whiteflies.

Good Luck!
Reply:ew. thats weird. no idea what those are...
Reply:Everyone is right-they are white flies. Safer's brand insecticidal soap can be sprayed over and under the plants. I think it is safe around pets and animals. More desperate measurers may be a systemic liquid that is absorbed through the roots and goes in to the leaves where those little bugs are nesting. I don't have a brand in mind at the moment, you can check the labels at a garden center.

Usually the plants already have the white fly when purchased, so it's not something you did. It is sometimes a result of poor air circulation. When buying any plant, if you gently shake it, the white fly will be disturbed and you can avoid purchase.
Reply:Sounds like you may be dealing with Whitefly. The little white spots are probably eggs on the top and bottom of the leaves. These guys are difficult to get rid of if they are widely populated. Sometimes it's better to throw the plant out and start again. Purchase a product called "Endall". It is supposed to take care of all the stages from egg to adult. Be sure to spray the top and underside of the leaves with full coverage as they multiply quite rapidly. They suck the juices from the leaves and they turn brown and fall off the plant. Repeat your treatment according to label directions usually every 7-10 days. Good Luck!
Reply:White flies. We had a hibiscus they liked. Had to get rid of the plant. Nothing worked, and they were starting to spread.
Reply:I don't know what a whitefly is, but what you are describing sounds like Aphids to me. They are really small, like a pencil dot almost. There are a variety of insecticides that work great for them. My mom just dunks her gardenia plant in a bowl with dishsoap in it and they wash right off the plant. You can also get a few lady bugs to eat 'em up. They love em.
Reply:Yep . Whiteflies . If you spray your plants, do it more than once . Probably take 3-4 times , 4-7 days apart. The eggs take about 20 days to hatch, so even if you got rid of all the adults , more will continue to hatch out . Along with the insecticidal soap, it will help to mix in some hot peper wax %26amp;/or Garlic Barrier. Along with some kill , those are insect repellents, that will keep others from coming in . Pests are attracted to stressed plants , so make sure they are well-watered .

Basically, if the resulting flowers are orange in flower, that means orange is the dominant trait and white is the recessive and vise versa if white appeared for all the daughter flowers.

You should be able to get it from that.

I have bought some dark violet calla lilies and when i potted them in Mid August the flowers came white?

They turned out white with only some hints of pink. I live on a warm island around 35C chould it be the reason why they became white? Thanks

I have bought some dark violet calla lilies and when i potted them in Mid August the flowers came white?
I don't think the heat had anything to do with the color change. You more than likely purchased mis-labled tubers. Did you pick them from a "bulk" bin at the garden center? They may have been tossed into the wrong bin by other buyers, or they may have been mislabled at the growers locale before shipment was made. The heat will not change the color, as calla's grow best in warmer climates anyway. If it gets too hot however, they should be planted in a partly shady location for best flowering. They also like a loose, well drained soil. Here is a link with some info on growing Calla's and some of the problems associated with their culture. Hope this answers your question.

What are the gene frequencies for the red and white flowers?
It depend on its parental color I guess, If you have a red flower (dominant genes (RR)) and cross it with a with white flower (recessive genes (rr) ) than you will have 100% of red flower (with (Rr) ). I forget in plant genes which one is the dominant the red or white gene.

My duvet is white with an orange flower, and my pillows are orange flowers, what can i do to my walls?!??!?!?
Find a solid sheet with the same colors as your duvet... maybe a pale green from the leaves. The pale green will "pull together" and ground all the other colors.

Find the center of the wall near the ceiling over your bed. Fold the sheet in half and nail the center of the edge of the sheet to the top of the wall over your bed. Then fan out the fabric and nail it to the wall about 3 feet away from the center on each side... you're basically making a fabric headboard behind the bed.

If you can't do this behind your bed, then use the sheet as a wall covering on one of the bedroom walls. Nail holes are very small and you can stretch the fabric taut.

Whatever you do, don't add more detail, flowers, or bright colors. You need to pull the whole scheme together and coordinate with a third, cool color.

Reply:Since you cannot paint your walls, coordinate some artwork, rugs and lamps or shades with your colors. Maybe bring in a cool blue into the mix to tone down the warm colors. Add some artwork with black frames and maybe some black shades on your lamps. Not too much black, so it won't look like Halloween. Teal could also work. I think the artwork will tie it all together with a rug bringing in a cooler, calmer color.

Choose artwork that you like because that is personal. It sounds like you have a retro feel going on. And depending on where you live, it could be tropical or abstract.
Reply:Maybe posters with multi colored flowers on it. It will incorporate the bedspread.
Reply:Please say you're a chick.
Reply:I think something hawaian would look cool by the colors you used.

Or just paint the walls white with different color border on each wall, one could be hot pink, one orange, or switch between the two.
Reply:Since you can't paint your walls, I would find a large poster or art piece that has a lot of the colors you like OR is totally black and white and frame it, and hang that above your bed as an accent. The frame should be pretty unique and cool, and you can do this yourself--- taking an old wood frame from a thrift store, and then painting it with an oil-based paint in either pink or orange, like your bedding. You can hot glue matching orange flowers to the frame, if you want to! That will really be unique to you and POP when you enter the room.

Get a runner, like a long skinny table cloth, in either orange or pink, and run it all along your dresser or desk if you have one. Make all of your accessories (lamps, picture frames, ect.) in shades of orange, pink and white (you can also paint these yourself) to continue the flow of your theme. Finally, get a big throw rug for under and around your bed that ALSO cordinates. It doesn't have to be the same pattern-- sometimes mixing and matching looks even better! But stick with the orange, pink and white scheme to really tie together your room. Good luck!

and some little dark blue flowers on it can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is please and thankyou

I have a crawling type plant in back yard it is going up the house it has little white flowers?
I can't think of anything that has both white and dark blue flowers. The first thing that came to mind is catbriar/greenbriar and mile-a-minute, but it's probably not either of those. Could it be morning glory? I've seen morning glory vines with small white blooms. Those curly things are called tendrils and are common on climbing vines.

It's definitely not Vinca. Vinca is a bedding plant. It doesn't climb or make tendrils. There is an unrelated plant called Vinca Vine, but I've never seen it flower.
Reply:It's hard to say without a better description (such as the number and arrangement of leaves, patterns on the leaves, form of blooms, etc.)

There is a variety of Vinca that fits your general description. Most Vinca produce blue-purple blooms, but some do produce white.

I have a peace lilly in my bathroom under the corner sink. not in direct sunlight. THE WHITE FLOWERS HAVE ALL TURNED GREEN AND I CANT FIND A REASON FOR IT. im following all the tips for keeping it watered..etc. already killed one peace lilly and dont want this one to face the same fate! these are the care tips ive been given from the garden shop and i am following them.

Spathiphyllum wallisii- Peace Lilly

Site: Bright indirect light.

Temp: Keep warm over the winter min 60°F.

Water: Water well over the summer months and less over the winter. Place in a pebble tray or mist regularly to keep up humidity. Wash the leaves regularly.

Feeding: A liquid feed every month over the growing season.

Peace Lilly.. why are the white flowers turning green. Any one that knows HELP!!?
The flowers on mine start green and then turn white......

I tend to ignore it until it droops and then give it a really good soaking. Somehow it is still alive and is always getting new flowers and leaves. I've never fed it!
Reply:You may need to put in to a different spot you keep your plat in may need more sun light, and make sure the pot is not getting to small, it also have something to to with the stem of the hot water when you are running your bath. Report It

Reply:The Yahoo group gardenmessenger is a very good gardening group with people from all over the world, and also it has a very good web-site at http://www.gardenmessenger.net... Report It

Reply:This is normal. Peace lilies turn green when they age. Cut off the flower or it will delay the growth of the rest of the plant.

"There is nothing one can do to restore the white color of the peace lily flower. It is natural for the flower to turn green as it ages. Once the flower turns green in color, it should be to cut off the plant. Otherwise, the flower may produce a seed pod which consumes the plants energy. Seeds may be used to start new plants from those plants which are true species, but it may be several years before they flower, so dividing the plants roots in the spring is the best means of propagating new plants."

Advice: "As peace lilly blooms get older they normally do turn green before turn brown. At the point that you decide they are ugly feel free to snip them off at the point where the flower stem comes off of a leaf stem. As for the younger flowers turning green I do not know what is causing that. I would reccommend that you stop fertilizing for awhile and see if that stops the greening. The flowers normally last about 2 months from first appearance to the point I feel it is time to trim them off. The beauty of peace lillies is that they bloom all year long. Once a year I reccommend that you give it 2 teaspoons of epsom salts sprinkled on top of the soil before watering. That will encourage it to keep it blooming year around."

Reply:I'm not sure if this is "botanically correct" or not, but mine did the same thing and I gave it fertilizer and shortly afterward the new flowers came in all white again. I used the Peter's variety, and I used it for two or three waterings in a row. In my case I guess it was missing something. Hope this helps.

The bridal bouquet, white and burgundy roses with greenery would really be beautiful. The brides maidens should have a single long stem white rose with greenery as well as the silver and white ribbon. white petunias

white pansies

white nicotina

any other ideas for pots with white flowers???

I'm doing pots with all white flowers this year......?
Another variety of white flowers to consider is jasmine. Many are night blooming, and they smell very sweet.

Another favorite is stephanotis, which also has a very sweet scent. It likes to grow on a trellis, but can be contained to a pot so long as it has something to climb.

I imagine your garden will look absolutely fantastic in the moonlight. Happy gardening.
Reply:Allow me to ask this question - is the world black and white or numerous colors? Does IceCream only come in Vanilla?

Do you wear all white to work daily?

A single pot of all white would be nice and different, however, it would stand out if it has a contrast. If there were three pots I would plant the white geraniums. Long lasting, hardy and minimum maint. On either side I would fill a pot with a deep red geranium. Put the white either in front of or below the red to make the white a focal point.

The petunias and daisy are not all white. Nicotina is nice but high maint. Allysium is basically a spring flower. Go with the Geraniums. Again, low maintenance and feed. Pinch every Saturday.
Reply:Stocks, dianthus, thrift, flocks, verbena, gerbera daisies.
Reply:i don't know if they make them white.. but begonias are very pretty.. and do you have a spot with a pot that is near a trellis or can you build one that way? because whats very pretty is moon-flower.. it blooms at night... its the white morning glory...

How does Perrier Jouet taste? The one in the green bottle with the white flowers painted on it.?

i like sweet tasting wine not dry bitter wine.

How does Perrier Jouet taste? The one in the green bottle with the white flowers painted on it.?
It's a Champagne of course, and with any wine, the vintage is everything in determining taste and quality. You can get a bad vintage and the wine will taste dry and bitter, a good vintage and it is sheer nectar. Try the 1990 for the best experience, followed by the 1996 or 1998. It is not considered to be an outstanding Champagne, even though the bottle is pretty and makes a good bud vase when empty. It is actually hand painted! Come on out to Malibu and I'll open a few bottles! The bottles with the painted labels are not just Perrier-Jouet (which is the brand), but also the "Belle Epoque Fleur de Champagne" which is the flowered bottle. Here is a link where you can buy it for less than $100.
Reply:I don't know, but I'm curious too. I like the way the bottle is designed w/ the pretty Lavender and White flowers.
Reply:It's yummy, try it! At $120.00 a bottle you can't go wrong

Tiny white flowers in Ancient Olympia in early spring?

When I was in Ancient Olymipa, Greece this past February we went into the staduim and the hillside to the right was covered in these little white flowers that left yellow pollen on my clothes after i was lying in them. I need to know exactly what kind of flower they were.

Please help me! they are the same as the little white flowers in this picture:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/robwallace/...

Any information would be of help!

Tiny white flowers in Ancient Olympia in early spring?
That should be chamomile, while the red ones are poppies.

If the smell of them was very profound, then certainly were chamomile.

If I'm guessing right you must be Greek and surely in that case, your mother must have used it when you were small.
Reply:They look like DAISIES to me... it might be chamomile though....hard to tell from a distance.
Reply:They are definitely chamomile, Χαμομήλι.in Greek.

But, hey, don't worry, they will not bother you again: All of the area is burnt to a crisp now.

And in five years this useless field will be developed to a magnificent country housing complex, sold in very reasonable prices.

Keep the picture for memento, who needs the flowers anyway.....
Reply:The white flowers look more like daisies or 'Margarites' in Greek.

I've got little white flowers growing on my sweet basil plant, should I leave them?

Basil is an annual, and if you let it flower and go to seed it will think it's done its job. I pinch the flowers off until the basil gets huge and lovely, and then I let it flower at the end of the season.

You should also pinch the individual stems back to make the plant get bushy. If you pinch the stem off above a set of side branches, more branches will come off at that point and make a much more attractive plant.

I've got little white flowers growing on my sweet basil plant, should I leave them?
No you shouldn't unless you are collecting seeds.

Flowers may exhaust the plants energy and you'll get leggy poor quality basil with little flavor. Pinch it back to the next green leaf.
Reply:Flowers come first, then seeds. You will get more leaves per plant if you pinch the plants back before they go to seed. But you can also harvest the seed and keep a new batch growing, since you need to replant every two weeks all summer.
Reply:the flowers are normal. give the plant a good shake to ensure pollination and they6 will make some seeds. take the seeds and then you can plant new basil plants all over again.
Reply:Use them for a special floating garnish on something like a freshly tomato made soup

How long to wild plum trees bloom white flowers?

Fruit development period refers to the time between when the flower bud opens and the fruit is ripe. It is shorter during warmer growing periods and longer when the season is colder. It can be used as an indicator of when the fruit will be harvested (Table 2 ).

In my experience, it is only a matter of a couple of weeks, after which (if the tree is mature enough) it will begin to produce fruit.
