I bought a really beautiful Adriana Papell silk black dress with white embellishments (like white piping, white flowers etc). I was planning to wear this to a wedding in the beginning of May, but now I wonder whether a dress with a not insubstantial amount of white before Memorial Day is a no-no. (It is definitely a black dress, it just has white highlights, so I'm not worried about breaking the no white to a wedding rule.) Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

If it looks good on you, and you are comfortable wearing it to a wedding... then wear it...

Reply:The dress does sound pretty, but black to a wedding is a HUGE no-no. Plus it is the beginning of Spring. Wear something with a splash of color.
Reply:no i don't think thats bad at all... i do it sometimes actually i have a black skirt that sounds like you dress. i wouldn't worry at all
